Main Campus

Hi All,
Just wanted to ask if any of you are students from the main campus. What are some of the benefits of being on campus? Besides the ridiculously more Chinese environment haha. Sports activities, housing etc. I would like to just know some opinions, some of the goods and bads.. Thanks,

Dustin

Hi Dustin,
I have been studying at the main campus for a year now.... What I really like about studying here is the facilities offered here. First of all, their library is out of this world! I just discovered a whole other realm recently. It's a great place to study or surf the net, watch a movie on your own or with a group of friends in one of the group rooms with comfy chairs. They also have plenty of activities on campus... I believe there will be a sports day coming up soon and they are always hosting a variety of events here. In addition, they have what I would call an Olympic size pool that students have access to, along with a track, volleyball, basketball and a workout room. I personally do not live on campus but they do have dorms on campus and the my classmates seem to be satisfied with them. I should also mention that they do have a variety of food venues as well as a coffee shop. The grounds are very nice and well kept. Well, I guess that's about all I can think of right now... Hope you find this information helpful. :)

Hi Tammy,

Thanks very much for your feedback about the campus. I found it very informative and sounds nice :D Do you know much about the scholarship they offer there. Do you have one or just paying and going? ^_^

Thanks,
Dustin

Hi Dustin,

They do have a scholarship available after you have studied at least 3 months at the school. All the currently enrolled students that plan on studying at least an additional 6 months can apply for the scholarship. It is also dependent on not missing too many days at school, your grades, etc. Then you would take a test involving the information that you are expected to know up to that point. It also involves an oral examination. The reimbursement fluctuates a bit but it will generally cover your school fees for the next 6 month period. You can get more information at the CLEC website - http://www.clec.pu.edu.tw/ and review the scholarship provisions and qualifications. Hope this helps

:)
