Book 1 Lesson 1 Issue 他&她 , 臺 or 台

Book 1 Lesson 1, in the multiple choice section when it displays the character 他 it has two options of 'ta' in pinyin. One is correct and one isn't; however, there are two ways to type the character, there should not be two pinyin options.

Another issue I came across, was when we type Taiwan in the listen and type responses in various lessons, it will accept 台 but not 臺 which is technically the correct way, right?　Hope we have the option to type either. Thanks in advance, let me know otherwise.

Thanks for the quick response.
I was also curious but not sure of the rule. In one sentence it said something like 張小姐..你忙嗎 something like this, but it doesn't accept the female 妳
As for the multiple entries for words, the most common two that come to mind are 台/臺 as well as 什/甚 from 甚麼/什麼 the interesting thing I noticed here is the first shenme's zhuyin is different from the second one, ㄇㄛ˙ not ㄇㄜ˙ Thanks again.
